American Televangelist Pat Robertson Says U.S. Government Is Preparing For Battle 'Against Us'

Preparation for a real or potential "something" has been occurring for ten or more years.  During Bill Clinton's presidency for instance, he signed Presidential Decision Directive 71.  How many people know about this, and about what it really means? I read about it as it was happening, and Madeleine Albright's briefings to U.S. Congress.

PDD 71 began the gradual federalization-international militarization and synchronization of all levels of U.S. law enforcement, to put it all under the authority of the U.N. Security Council. I am not anti-world order, but I thought it was odd that this was going on with no general knowledge about it with the American people. Some things I read were quite shocking.

While I resonate with very little Pat Robertson has ever said, the fact that even he is now publicly stating this information isn't insignificant.  I have my own hunches about why the federal government and other operations buried inside of layers of secrecy above top secrecy are carrying out unusual activities, but I am not worried about it.  The religious right could become a threat, and Robertson and those like him, through their own actions, fueled by power lust, bigotry and sheer delusion, may be in the process of boarding their own Titanic.

Robertson: Government Is Preparing For Battle 'Against Us'

Submitted to Rightwing Watch by Brian Tashman on Thursday, 3/28/2013 12:30 pm

Televangelist Pat Robertson is joining the ranks of right-wing commentators who claim that the Department of Homeland Security is stockpiling vehicles and ammunition to use against Americans.

“Long trains full of armored vehicles, personnel carriers with armor, what are they for, the army going into battle against the enemy? They're used by Homeland Security against us,” Robertson ominously warned. “Imagine what Homeland Security is doing is just awful and we’re going to talk about how much ammunition they’re stockpiling: who are they going to shoot, us?”

The conspiracy about secretive ammo stockpiling is completely unfounded.

According to the Associated Press, the ammunition is used in trainings for “tens of thousands of federal law enforcement officers” and for the use of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency.

As Media Matters pointed out, DHS does own light armored vehicles for emergencies and raids on drug cartels, and the recent purchases of such vehicles were actually for the U.S. Marine Corps.

In fact, the conspiracy theory is so baseless that even the NRA has debunked it.
